2023 Sydney West Basketball Championships

On Tuesday 28^th March, the CHPSSA basketball teams participated in the Sydney West Primary School Championships.

Both the boys and girl’s teams played 3 round games at the start of the day.  The boys ended up coming 1^st in their pool and the girls ended up coming 2^nd in their pool, meaning that both teams made it through the semi-finals.  The boys team came up against Blue Mountains in the semi-final where they put up a very strong battle, unfortunately losing in a very tough and close contest.

The girls played against Penrith in the semi-final, where they also came up against a very strong and competitive team, unfortunately losing in their semi-final as well. Greg Luther (boys coach) and Haylee Cole (Girls Coach) would like to congratulate all of the students who participated on the day for their exceptional behaviour and sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to the following students who were successful in being selected as part of the Sydney West Boys Basketball team. These boys will compete in the NSW School championships later in the year in Tamworth:

• Mathew F – Kellyville Public School
