2024 Sydney West Boys Softball Championships

The boys started the day with a close loss against St Marys 8-6. A change of diamond sparked the boys with an improved performance against Hawkesbury which resulted in a 7-1 win. The final round game was against Wentworthville / Seven Hills (WSH). They had a great pitcher and the boys needed to make technical adjustments to their game, but unfortunately, we lost 7-4. A second place in the round game meant facing WSH again. This time the boys worked as a team to step up their game, and when time was called, we were up 7-4, but the score reverted to a disappointing 5-4 loss. Our final game was a 4-2 win against Blacktown which guaranteed a third place overall.

The boys should be very proud of their achievement in this very tough competition. The boys worked together, supported each other and improved every game. Two boys were selected in the Sydney West Boys Team, Cameron K (Samuel Gilbert) and Ryan W (Excelsior).
