2025 Sydney West Football Championships

On 16 June, the Castle Hill PSSA Football team competed at the Sydney West Football Championships.
The boys started the day with a strong 3-0 win against Blacktown, followed by 2-0 victories against Ridges and Wentworthville. We then faced Parramatta, who were the other undefeated team in our pool. The boys rose to the occasion and cemented our place at the top of the pool with a 5-0 victory.
In the semi-final, we played 2nd place in Pool A, which was Hawkesbury. This was our toughest game so far, however, Rohan B was able to score a late winner to secure our place in the final, with a 1-0 victory.
Parramatta defeated Penrith in the other semi-final, meaning that the final would be Castle Hill vs. Penrith. The boys were dominant in the final, scoring two early goals and a late third goal to win 3-0.
The boys were undefeated throughout the competition and did not concede a goal across the six games. They played with high levels of sportsmanship and were receptive to all instructions, tactics and substitutions. They should be incredibly proud of their efforts and performances.
A squad of 25 students was selected to attend a trial to finalise the Sydney West Football team.
