Touch
Touch Football is increasing in population in our zone, with 18 schools participating in the competition.
Touch football is a fun and exciting sport to play. Schools can enter both boys and girls junior and senior teams. Each team has 7 players on the field at a time, and players rotate through the game with unlimited substitutions.
The aim of the game is to score touchdowns by getting through the opponent team’s part of the field and placing the ball down in the touchdown zone. Your team will have six ‘touches’ as your opportunity to score. The sixth ‘touch’, dropping the ball or any infringement to the rules result in a changeover and the attacking team then becomes the defending side. The rules of the game are easy to understand and suitable for everyone to enjoy Touch Football.
Historically, Castle Hill PSSA has had strong representation at the Sydney West Touch Football Championships. Many students have been selected for higher honours to represent Sydney West at the NSWPSSA Touch Football Championships.
