2026 Sydney West Football Championships (Girls)

On Monday 1st June, CHPSSA girls’ football team competed at the Sydney West Championship held at Valentine Sports Park. The team showed steady improvement throughout their pool matches, securing strong wins against Hawkesbury (1-0), St Marys (2-0), Blacktown (6-0), and Mt Druitt (1-0). The players demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination in each game, contributing to a successful run through the pools.

In the semi-final, the team faced a competitive opponent and battled hard for every ball. Despite their best efforts and chances, the match was narrowly decided by a free kick near our goal, resulting in a 0-1 loss to Ridges. Although the girls were disappointed, they displayed great resilience and should be very proud of their commitment and performance throughout the championship.
